VISION LASER – precision redefined
The new VISION LASER is based on the proven HELITRONIC VISION platform and offers a revolutionary solution for machining brazed tools. It enables:
- Machining of PCD tools at up to twice the speed of wire EDM
- Complex 3D geometries in a single setup
- Highest surface quality
- No consumables
Thanks to the C.O.R.E. panel with GTR ProfDia laser software, operation is intuitive, sustainable, and future-proof.
HELICHECK NANO – Setting standards in micrometer measurement
The new HELICHECK NANO is the world’s first measuring machine specifically designed for micro and nano tools (Ø 0.1–16 mm). It offers:
- Two high-resolution cameras (up to 400× magnification)
- Newly developed hydro-expansion system for maximum concentricity
- Fully automated measuring sequences with C.O.R.E. integration
- OPC UA interface for smart manufacturing
ATP – Automated Tool Production
With the new ATP system, WALTER offers a modular automation solution for complete tool production. The system includes:
- ATP ROBOCELL for automated loading and unloading
- ATP AMR – a mobile transport robot for workpiece logistics
- Complete closed-loop processes through automatic correction between measuring and machining machines
- Innovative steam cleaning station for comprehensive cleaning of tools immediately after the machining process
ATP can be used across manufacturers, requires no additional floor space, and can be seamlessly integrated into existing production layouts.
HELITRONIC RAPID – Efficient entry into tool machining
The new HELITRONIC RAPID is the ideal entry-level machine for grinding and regrinding rotationally symmetrical tools with small and medium diameters. It offers:
- Production and regrinding in a single setup
- Machining of HSS, carbide, cermet, and ceramics
- Optional top loader for automated loading
- Optional torque motor on the A-axis
Fire Stop & Go – safety and productivity combined
The new Fire Stop & Go function for all WALTER EDM machines increases safety and reduces downtime. It detects fires at an early stage and prevents unnecessary activation of the fire extinguishing system. The advantages:
- • Immediate shutdown of the cause of the fire before the extinguishing system is triggered
- • Automatic analysis and continuation of the process in the event of deflagration
- • Less machine downtime and fewer CO₂ cylinder changes
- • Higher productivity and safety – even in unmanned production
