The Cutting-Edge CBN End Mills for Ultra Precision
The event presented the CBN end mills series from TOWA. Developed by cultivated technologies through the manufacture of ultra-precision molds. This series boast high precision, superior abrasion resistance, and a long life-span. As high hardness materials used for mold by customers, tools with higher precision and durability are required. The in-house produced CBN end mill is commercialized as having high precision and high sharpness enabling ±3μm cutting tolerance with a long life-span.
The CBN end mill series are designed to be re-grinded, allowing customers drastically reduce the total tool cost. In addition, custom-made items such as tool diameter and corner R according to customerʼs specification is available. CBN radius end mill has a lineup of 3 to 6 blades, the users can complete the process with reduced man-hours. Final products of the ultra-precision molds include finger print sensors. optical parts used in head up displays.
Carbide End Mill Series for a Variety of Materials.
Another cutting tools presented is carbide end mills, engineered to achieve long tool life to cover various materials by two patented coating technologies.The ion Depo™ series of ion plating method based AlCrN coating can achieve outstanding cutting performance and long tool life for pre-harden steel and copper of soft material, and difficult-to-cut material such as aluminum and titanium alloy.

Cooling towers are systems that help remove excess heat from water used in industrial processes. It allows equipment to operate efficiently by preventing overheating, which can reduce process efficiency, increase energy consumption, and even cause damage if not properly cooled. In addition to the importance of choosing a cooling tower brand or manufacturer, having a right maintenance service provider is equally important.
Why do we need to clean the fillers?
The structure of the cooling tower consists of the head and the body which is the fillers. Cleaning these fillers is an important process to maintain the cooling efficiency and safety. When the cooling tower works for a long time, dirt, algae or sediment will accumulate in the fillers, which provide the surface area for heat exchange between water and air. Cleaning them means increase the contact surface between water and air allowing the system works more efficiently and saves energy. Cleaning also helps prevent the occurrence of water return. When sediment or dirt accumulates in the fillers, it may cause the water to the cooling system be blocked and bounce back, which reduces the efficiency of the cooling system. Cleaning the fillers also increases safety. If there is a lot of dirt or sediment accumulated in the fillers, it will cause water vibration and the system to open the air suction condition, or making the cooling tower not work safely. Therefore, cleaning the fillers regularly increases the safety of the cooling tower.
