Diligence and uncompromising have earned Prestige Auto Parts today
MEGA Tech had the opportunity to interview leading businessmen, Mr. Thitiwat Vorrachordchaitweeporn, Chairman of the Board of Prestige Auto Parts Co., Ltd., who has long experience in the auto parts industry.
Mr. Thitiwat first told the story about the beginning of Prestige Auto Parts Co., Ltd. that the company was established on July 11, 1994, by renting a factory in the area of Pu Chao, Samut Prakan Province, with 200 employees and about 60 machines only. PAP focuses on the manufacturing process of Stamping and CNC work for the non-complex precision auto parts industry.
“As a result of the Asian financial crisis in 1997, the factory was seriously impacted. However, with patience and hard work, up to 20 hours a day over a period of 4 years, we recovered in 2001 by developing the existing machinery to be used at its maximum efficiency. We were also supported by the goodwill of customers until the production capacity was expanded to accommodate the increased workload. After the situation improved, we bought land to build a factory in Bang Sao Thong District, Samut Prakan Province, and invested in machinery with more advanced technology, as well as expanded the welding process and increased the number of high-precision CNC machines,” said Mr. Thitiwat recalling the past with pride.

PAP’s services focus on giving customers the utmost satisfaction with the capability to produce workpieces according to the needs of customers without limitation. The produced workpieces, whether they are small or large, have to be processed to meet customer standards, in which PAP is confident in its factory as the stamping factory possessing the largest number of CMM measuring instruments in the industry among its class to provide numerical precision of the workpiece. If there is a correction, it can be fixed on the spot. As a result, the workpiece can be produced quickly and with the highest precision. Mr. Thitiwat reiterated to us that, “The investment is a never-ending cycle while it is an extension of business growth, which in the automotive industry, technology is constantly being developed. If we keep up with technology, we will be able to produce more quality and efficient workpieces.”
Mr. Thitiwat gave an example of the latest project servicing customers. The customer wanted a workpiece that required a 500 to 800-ton press machine, but PAP factory only had a 315-ton press machine at that time. So PAP decided to buy a press machine with more capacity to support the production of workpieces that could meet the needs of customers with no limitation. Mr. Thitiwat also added in the matter of new technology learning that, “Keeping up with current technology can be learned from customers and partners. Because when we earn the trust of customers, each customer will always bring different new technologies for us to learn while the partners will demonstrate new technologies to us as well. We only need to pick up those new technologies to learn and further develop to our future work and workpieces.”
