Flat Tubular Heaters are an advanced heating technology designed to increase heat-transfer surface area and distribute heat efficiently. MEGATech is proud to introduce the HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP, a new product from HI-DEN HEATTECH CO., LTD. This industrial heating element, also known as a Flat Tubular Heater, has been developed to enhance heat transfer and distribution. It is suitable for heating liquids, oil, and air, as well as for use in industrial machinery and manufacturing processes.
The key distinguishing feature of the HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP is its flat cross-sectional design, which increases the heat-transfer surface area compared with conventional round tubular heaters. Depending on the heater’s size and configuration, the surface area can be increased by approximately 10–70%. This enables more efficient heat transfer to the surrounding medium while promoting broader and more uniform heat distribution.
The flat tubular design also helps minimize localized heat concentration, known as a hot spot. This is an important factor affecting the heater’s service life, as well as the quality and consistency of manufacturing processes.
Flat Tubular Heater HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP: Technology and Internal Construction
HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP uses a resistance heating wire housed inside a metal tube. High-purity magnesium oxide (MgO) serves as electrical insulation while helping conduct heat from the heating element to the outer metal sheath.
The heater sheath can be specified in stainless steel SUS304 or SUS316, depending on the application, operating environment, manufacturing process and the medium with which the heater comes into contact.
HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP can also be configured with Triple Coil Technology, which uses three heating-wire circuits. This structure is designed to distribute the heating load and enhance operational reliability. In designs specifically configured for this function, if one heating circuit is damaged, the remaining circuit(s) may help keep the system operating, depending on the product configuration.
This internal construction also promotes more consistent heat distribution along the heater and helps reduce the risk of heat building up in isolated areas.

Key Advantages of Flat Tubular Heater HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP
HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP is developed for industrial applications that demand efficient performance, design flexibility and dependable operation. Key advantages include:
- Flat-tube design, increasing the surface area available for heat transfer
- Facilitates even heat distribution
- Reduces risks of hot spots
- Designed to fit the available installation space in machinery
- Flexible shape customization: straight, U-shaped, curved, and application-specific configurations
- Available in Single-Ended or Double-Ended designs
- Suitable for heating liquids, oil and air
- Sheath material can be selected to suit operating conditions
- Designed for continuous industrial operation
- Triple Coil Technology is available in selected configurations; certain designs can continue operating if one heating circuit fails
- Designed and manufactured in Thailand by HI-DEN’s engineering team
One important application is oil heating. The flat-tube shape increases the contact surface between the heater and the oil, helping transfer heat more evenly into the oil. This can reduce localized heat build-up on the heater surface and support more consistent oil-temperature control.
These characteristics make HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP suitable for food-processing and frying applications where stable oil temperature is important. This is particularly relevant to continuous frying systems, in which adding products can cause the oil temperature to drop rapidly.
Potential applications include continuous fryers, industrial fryers, food-frying equipment and production lines, snack processing, and oil heating or circulation systems.
Enhancing Industrial Frying Systems
In industrial frying, oil-temperature control is a key factor influencing product quality, including colour, crispness, frying time and consistency from batch to batch.
HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP offers fryer manufacturers and food-processing plants an option for upgrading their heating systems and improving heat distribution in oil.
It is suitable for ready-to-eat food production lines, fried chicken and other fried-meat processing plants, snack production lines, hot-oil systems and continuous industrial fryers.
Beyond food processing, HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP can be adapted for a wide range of other industrial processes.

Example Applications
The heater can be designed to suit various types of machinery and systems, including:
- Boiler and Tank
- Immersion Heating
- Circulation Heater
- Hot Oil Tanks
- Hot-oil circulation systems
- Pressure Vessel
- Duct Heater
- Hot-air and air-circulation systems
- Ovens and industrial ovens
- Drying equipment
- Food-processing machinery
- Continuous Fryer
- Industrial Fryer
- Mould heating
- Metal-plate heating
- Hopper
- Glycol heating systems
- Process heating for gases and liquids
- OEM machinery requiring custom-shaped heaters
Flexible Design to Match Your Machinery
Another key advantage of HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP is its ability to be customized to the actual requirements of machinery, rather than being limited to standard shapes.
HI-DEN can tailor dimensions, length, shape, wattage, voltage, materials, flange design, lead-wire position and installation method to suit each customer’s manufacturing process.
Available configurations include straight, U-shaped, curved and flanged designs, as well as heaters designed for installation in tanks or pipes and other custom shapes to fit specific installation spaces.
This flexibility makes HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP suitable for both end-user factories and OEM machinery manufacturers developing dedicated heating systems for their equipment.
Preliminary Technical Specifications
The outer sheath can be specified in stainless steel SUS304 or SUS316, depending on operating conditions.
The internal structure combines a resistance heating wire with high-purity magnesium oxide (MgO) insulation.
Wiring configurations can be designed as Single-Ended or Double-Ended.
For selected configurations, the operating temperature can be designed for applications up to approximately 650°C. The appropriate operating temperature depends on the sheath material, wattage, environment, heated medium and installation method.
The heater should therefore be specified and configured according to the actual operating conditions of each system.

Developed and Manufactured in Thailand
HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP is designed and manufactured in Thailand by HI-DEN HEATTECH. The company’s engineering team provides guidance from application assessment and the selection of materials, wattage and heater shape through to adapting the design for the customer’s machinery or existing system.
Local manufacturing also enables close engineering coordination, customized design adjustments and responsive after-sales support for industrial customers.
HI-DEN HEATTECH continues to develop HOTBAR HEATER HITEMP as an industrial heating solution that enhances heat-transfer efficiency, helps reduce localized heat concentration and offers greater flexibility in designing heating systems for modern industrial machinery.
