Prolific Group recently organized a seminar themed “Non-Ferrous Seminar 2024: Casting the Future” at Hotel Nikko Amata City Chonburi. The event was led by Mr. Phummarin Sosrisakorn, Managing Director of Prolific Heating International Co., Ltd., and garnered substantial interest from professionals in the metalworking industry.

The seminar kicked off with a keynote address by Mr. Woranart Sangchai, Executive Director of The Energy Conservation Center of Thailand, who discussed “The Challenge of Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism to Accelerate Plans to Reach NET ZERO Carbon Emission.” Following this, Mr. Katsunari (Ken) Hashimoto and Mr. Kyosuke Nagashima, Managers at Promat-Etex Group, presented on “The Solution with High-Performance Insulation Materials for the Nonferrous Industry in Thailand,” highlighting ways to reduce energy costs and enhance production efficiency.


Mr. Isaac Castillo, Asia Pacific Manager & Key Account Manager of MetalFlow, shared valuable insights and successful case studies on “The New Era of Release Agent for EV Vehicles.” Another notable presentation was delivered by Mr. Iwamoto Tomihiro, Prolific Technical Advisor, on “Implementation Carbon Neutrality in Aluminum Casting.” He emphasized that with the larger casting components of EV cars, casting could reach up to 300kg per shot, necessitating the use of larger auxiliary furnaces and the consideration of melting holding furnaces with reduced CO2 emissions.


The seminar concluded with a presentation by Mr. Thomas Hao, VP Sales & Distribution of Jiangsu Tianhong Machinery Industry Co., Ltd (TiHO), who provided expert advice on “Low Pressure and Gravity Casting Technologies and Applications for Automotive Lightweight and MEGA Castings.”



The event was a resounding success, leaving participants with valuable knowledge and innovative solutions for the future of the non-ferrous industry.
This event also marks the launch of the corporation between Prolific Group and Jiangsu Tianhong Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. (TiHo), which recently established a business partnership. MEGATech had the exclusive opportunity to interview Mr. Thomas Hao, VP of Sales & Distribution at TiHo, regarding this new collaboration.

Mr. Hao expressed his optimism about the industry’s growth potential in Thailand. He remarked, “Thailand’s central location in ASEAN, its geographical advantages, general societal stability, high policy transparency, trade liberalization, and open business environment make it the second-largest economy in ASEAN. The Thai government has developed a 20-year national long-term development strategy, which includes ten key areas relevant to our industry, such as the modern automobile industry. This strategy aims to propel Thailand towards Industry 4.0 and has introduced policies that create a favorable environment for foreign investment. I am very optimistic about our company’s prospects in Thailand and believe we can achieve a win-win situation.”
Mr. Hao further noted, “Thailand’s automotive manufacturing industry is highly developed within ASEAN, ensuring that our Low-Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) and Gravity Die Casting (GDC) machines maintain high quality and stability, fully supporting the Thai industry.”
Highlighting the importance of the automotive sector, Mr. Hao emphasized, “The automobile industry is a key field, with a significant focus on developing supporting chassis components. Our turnkey solutions are specifically designed for lightweight aluminum casting applications, such as cylinder heads, turbocharger housings, calipers, wheels, and other chassis parts, aligning with the development trends of the Thai automotive industry.”
Regarding the partnership with Prolific, Mr. Hao concluded, “Prolific has numerous potential projects and vast sales network, strong business development capabilities, significant social influence, and a high reputation among customers. These factors, combined with their high-quality after-sales service, are key reasons for our collaboration.
