MEGA Tech is pleased to receive a great opportunity to interview Mr. Ekachai Sripanyanuch, president of TBTS (Thailand) Co., Ltd in recognition of his new position, as well as focusing on his vision on future operational plans and the recent launch of OPTIUM OS system, the latest automated scanning technology from the HEXAGON brand designed to enhance automatic workpiece measurement with optimal efficiency.
The New Role and Management Strategies in the Future
Mr. Ekachai commenced the interview regarding his new position by stating, “Since taking on the role of company president, my responsibilities have significantly expanded. In addition to overseeing the core functions within the company in Thailand, I have enhanced my engagement and collaboration with the top management at our parent company in Japan. This allows us to align strategies and management policies across our group companies while developing mid to long-term plans that address the current competitive market environment. This role presents considerable challenges, but it has also provided me with a broader perspective, enriched my management experiences, and continually offered opportunities for learning and acquiring new ideas.”
Furthermore, Mr. Ekachai proceeded to discuss the operational plan for the upcoming 1 to 5 years as follows:
- Strategic plans for expansion into neighboring countries
Tokyo Boeki Techno-System Ltd., our parent company in Japan, has identified TBTS Thailand as the core operations center for the Southeast Asian region. As part of our strategic initiatives, TBTS Thailand is currently exploring the potential for business expansion into neighboring countries, including Indonesia and Vietnam. We already engage with clients in these markets, as there is a significant demand for our measuring instruments. Additionally, our customers have expressed interest in establishing a local presence to enhance trading efficiency and improve service delivery.
- Accountable sales activities in Thailand and abroad
In the future, TBTS Thailand will be responsible for all sales in this region. This is a complex task, as it requires strategic planning to meet regional objectives, rather than focusing solely on Thailand as in the past. In addition to sales, a new challenge is presented due to the intricacies of business operations across various countries, each with its unique conditions such as work culture and communication styles. The primary aim is to cultivate teams in each country within this region and enhance collaboration for optimal efficiency, with TBTS Thailand serving as the central business hub.
- Team and Specialists
TBTS Thailand is home to a highly skilled and experienced team of engineers whose expertise in hardware, software, and various automation systems is comparable to that of our parent company in Japan. We have a plan to relocate highly experienced teams to other countries to offer technical assistance and services during the initial phase. Additionally, we aim to establish local support teams in those countries over the next 3-5 years to effectively address future customer needs.
- Collaborating with the parent company in Japan
TBTS Thailand is committed to staying at the forefront of emerging technologies, including Automation, IoT, and DX. To this end, we have dispatched engineers to Japan to study these advanced innovations and industry trends. This enables us to effectively apply and present these solutions to our clients domestically. Furthermore, we facilitate regular information sharing among our group of companies on a monthly basis to ensure continuous collaboration and progress.
Hexagon : OPTIUM OS system, The latest automatic scanning technology offering effective solutions for measuring workpieces.
Mr. Ekachai discussed the upcoming product launches, stating, “We are excited to introduce the OPTIUM OS system, which represents the latest advancements in automatic scanning technology from HEXAGON. This system integrates the benefits of various scanner types, including the Multi-line Scanner and Structured Light Scanner, along with a Camera Tracking System, all within a single machine. It is designed to connect seamlessly with COBOTs or ROBOTs for efficient automatic measurement. Users will find it easy to operate through IDE Software. This initiative is the result of a collaboration between Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Thailand and TBTS Thailand.”
